Brian Heurlin is a principal with the law firm of Heurlin, Potter Jahn, Leatham & Holtmann, P.S. and has practiced law in
Vancouver since 1979. He graduated from Knox College in 1972 where he was a member of Phi Delta Theta fraternity, and graduated
from the University of Puget Sound School of Law with distinction in 1975 and served as a law clerk to Judge Soule with the
Washington State Court of Appeals.
Mr. Heurlin has been an active participant in the community. He has chaired the Vancouver School District Levy Committee.
He was President of the Vancouver Rotary Club 1995-96. Formerly, he was Vice President of the Columbia River Economic
Development Association, Chairman of the Board of Clark County YMCA, Vice President of the Salmon Creek Soccer Association,
Chairman of the Vancouver School District Foundation and was Chairman of Boy Scout Troop 14. He was the co-founder of the
Citizens for Progressive Leadership, a non-partisan business organization that provided endorsements to candidates for
local offices. Mr. Heurlin has also chaired committees for the Chamber of Commerce, served on various committees for the
Vancouver School District and has been a member of the Responsible Growth Forum. He has lectured for the Washington State
Bar Association Continuing Education on the subject of shareholder agreements. He has been an instructor for the American
Bankers Association on the Law of Banking.
Mr. Heurlin's law practice emphasizes the areas of business, real estate and financial institutions. This practice
includes transactional matters (e.g., the purchase and sale of: businesses, real estate, apartment complexes, etc.),
negotiation of loan documentation, review and preparation of contracts, lease negotiations, formation of corporations a
nd limited liability companies, as well as general business counsel matters. Among Mr. Heurlin's clients are: Riverview
Community Bank; manufacturing companies such as Wellons, Inc.; O'Ryan Industries, Inc. and Straits Orthopaedics, Inc.;
distributors such as Stein Distributing, Inc., Vancouver Oil, Inc. and Alliance Steel Distributors, LLC; retail enterprises
(Minit Mart convenience stores); and developers and general contractors, such as The Development Group, Inc. |
